Yes, apparently banana slugs CAN chew a hole in the plastic bag you’ve imprisoned them in….   leading to a mass escape of 7 giant slugs and 2 snails.

Fortunately, if you notice they’re making an escape soon enough, they’re not hard to catch.

Cute little garden snakeOn a happier note, this cute little garden snake slithered across my patio the other day (about 8″ long).  (Sorry Michelle).

I hope he eats lots of spiders for me.    I wonder if he’ll scare away the slugs…

That snake is very cool. The slug thing… gross. They really creep me out. But I do love snakes. He is adorable. :)

I do not care for this post at all! Descriptions of escaping slugs and pictures of snakes….

Those slugs are nasty little escape artists. I think the snake is cute though, in his own way. Not that I would like him slithering across my feet…..

I also like snakes…from a distance though, and if they are harmless.:) I don’t know, I actually really kind of like slugs too, although not in my garden or on my skin. It must be some kind of nostalgic attraction, perhaps reminding me of my years living in Washington.:)

I hate snakes! I really dislike slugs but I”m used to them after growing up in rainy old England. Snakes give me the creeps.
