the appealLast night I finally finished reading “The Appeal” by John Grisham – this is my brief review.

Normally, I’m a big fan of John Grisham. Normally when I start reading a book, I have a hard time putting it down. This book took me 4 weeks to finish…. frankly, it’s not up to his usual standard and was a bit of a let down.

I give it 3 out of 10 clams.

Have you read The Appeal? Do you agree with my assessment? Or did you like it better than I did?

3 clams? LOL…I have not read it. I have actually not read any John Grisham, but I know that I need to. Looks like this one will be skipped.

I stopped reading Grisham sometime ago, it seemed to me that he fell into writing by formula. I think Scott Turow is a much better author.

I’m reading the Appeal reight now. I have been having a little hard time finding the time to read and it hasn’t really caught my interest yet. I usually enjoy reading John Grisham. He’s not my favorite, but enjoyable for me. I’ll let you know how I feel about it when I finish it.

I haven’t read Grisham for many years – but picked this book up at the airport, assuming it would be an interesting read….. ah well.

Mom, I hope you enjoy itm ore than I did… the longer it went on, the harder it was for me to read. I’ll look forward to your review.

Ditto ditto ditto to what Craig said. I haven’t read him in many moons, wait, except his non-law topic one about his youth was actually really good (the Painted House? can’t remember). Scott Turow is less formulaic, but I haven’t read him in a while either.

I love it when people review books on their blogs….you know me, I love to read. This one was actually on my list to read eventually, so now I know to put it on the ‘read only if there is nothing else’ list.

Thanks!!

I finished “The Appeal. I was disappointed, especially in the ending. What happened to the GOOD GUY WINNING?
I felt very let down and thought to myself. Why did you waste your time ?
