But I caught a YouTube video of Rachel Maddow&#8217;s new show on MSNBC a couple of weeks ago and may just have to turn in every day to watch this Ph.D and Rhodes Scholar. <\/p>\n<p>Unapologetically liberal, she is intelligent, witty, articulate and fair minded.  She offers calm and intelligent discourse (based on facts).  My liberal leaning friends will love her.<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"b\">Anticipating:<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qMW1u3a2Qd8\" target=\"resource window\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lemmycaution.files.wordpress.com\/2008\/06\/religulous.jpg\" class=\"floatright\" width=\"150\" height=\"200\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Comdeian\/Political Satirist Bill Maher takes on all the silliness of religions around the world in this comedy\/documentary called <em class=\"b\">Religulous<\/em>.   An advocate of &#8220;reason&#8221;, Maher is sure to be highly irreverent and offend millions of people.   I can hardly wait.  <em>(Not for people to be offended, but to go LMAO in the theatre.)<\/em><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p><em class=\"b\">Unsurprised:<br \/>\n<\/em><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/aik.jpg\" alt=\"Not surprised\" class=\"floatright\" width=\"150\" height=\"200\"\/><br \/>\nI mean, come on.   <\/p>\n<p>Was <strong>ANYONE<\/strong> surprised by this?   <\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both;\"><\/div>\n<p><em class=\"b\">Annoyed&#8230; and then pleased:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img class=\"floatright\" src='http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/debate.jpg' alt='debate.jpg' \/>McCain wanted to postpone the planned Presidential debate Friday night so he could rush back to Washington and inject his vast economic experience into solving the current economic crisis <em>(as if his de-regulation policies weren&#8217;t partially responsible for what&#8217;s happened&#8230;)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But Obama said, no way.  <\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;With respect to the debates it is my belief that this is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person who in roughly 40 days will be responsible for this mess,&#8221;<\/em> he said. <em>&#8220;I think it is going to be <em class=\"b\">part of the president&#8217;s job to deal with more than one thing at once.<\/em> I don&#8217;t see why we can&#8217;t be constructive in helping with this problem.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So what happens if Obama is the only one to show up?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Loving: Rachel Maddow.
