{"id":134,"date":"2008-03-13T03:00:05","date_gmt":"2008-03-13T10:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/archives\/134"},"modified":"2008-03-13T03:00:05","modified_gmt":"2008-03-13T10:00:05","slug":"happy-birthday-buns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/happy-birthday-buns\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Birthday, Buns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"203\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/mich.jpg\" alt=\"Michelle - 10th grade\" height=\"269\" style=\"width: 203px; height: 269px\" class=\"floatleft\" \/>\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Happy Birthday to my best friend, Michelle&#8230;.<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>aka Honey, Goob,\u00c2\u00a0Shell, Shelly and Buns <em>(nickname given to her by the neighborhood buys who appreciated her cute derriere)<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been best friends since 9th grade (which is a lot longer ago that it feels) and some of my best memories, most embarrassing moments, and my greatest laughter, have been shared with her.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/michelle1.jpg\" alt=\"Happy Birthday Michelle\" class=\"floatright\" \/>She&#8217;s smart, wickedly funny, talented, compassionate, a loyal friend, and looks as great today as she did 20 years ago.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe even better.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Including her &#8220;buns.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m jealous.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know why, but when we are together we are very different than when we are apart.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Something synergistic happens and creates a force to be reckoned with.\u00c2\u00a0 Together, we were (and are) nuts.
