I&#8217;ve taken tons of photos and have lots of things I could be writing about but I just haven&#8217;t.  No excuses.  Just haven&#8217;t done it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatleft\" title=\"A miserable day in the tulips\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ak2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"275\" \/><em class=\"b\">No promises<\/em>, but I will try to rectify that &#8211; starting with this entry about a wonderful visit from Ashley &amp; Kennedy in April.<\/p>\n<p>Since their flight arrived at 7pm, our first stop was <em class=\"b\">dinner at Machiavelli&#8217;s, where Kennedy ate a huge plate of pasta.<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>The next day, Kristin joined us as we made the short trek to Mt. Vernon for the <em class=\"b\">tulip festival<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The tulips were beautiful, as usual, but it the weather wasn&#8217;t.  We faced what felt like <em class=\"b\">freezing cold gale force winds<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy <em>tried<\/em> to be brave.<\/p>\n<p>She managed a smile while cuddling with mom.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatleft\" title=\"Cold day in the tulips\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ak1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"350\" \/><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatleft\" title=\"Windy tulips\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ak4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"254\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatright\" title=\"A day in the tulips\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ak3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"283\" height=\"254\" \/><br \/>\nMore soon.
