I was born a platinum blond<\/em> with annoyingly stubborn waves <\/em>(which my mom loved, but I have fought with my whole life). I have had a love-hate relationship with my hair for over 40 years, and have prepared this retrospective for your viewing pleasure.<\/p>\n

The ringlet years.<\/em>

The awkward years.<\/em><\/p>\n

The (in)famous\u00c2\u00a0“waterfall<\/em>”<\/p>\n

\"The … which my mother insisted was really beautiful, but for which I was mercilessly teased (particularly by Michelle).\u00c2\u00a0 You can see how happy I am about the response I got. Needless to say, I only wore it once<\/p>\n

The rain gutter<\/em> (and Gunne Sax) years.<\/p>\n

The henna<\/em> years.

The my-hair-is-long-and-I-have-no-idea-what-to-do-with-it<\/em> years.<\/p>\n

Quite abruptly my hair\u00c2\u00a0decided\u00c2\u00a0to be dark brown<\/em> (all on its own).\u00c2\u00a0 And very 8o’s.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"80s<\/p>\n

The short <\/em>years.
\n\"Short<\/p>\n

The perm years<\/em> (scary).<\/em>

The back to blonde<\/em> years.

The purple month <\/em>(Paul, what were<\/strong> we thinking???!!!).<\/p>\n

The auburn years<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Auburn \"My<\/p>\n

The “I-forgot-how-much-work-short-hair-is-so-I’m-growing-it-out<\/em>” transition<\/p>\n

\"Growing<\/p>\n

The bob years<\/em> (with the use of giant velcro rollers and roller brush).<\/em><\/p>\n

The embracing my inner wave<\/em> (with the help of smoothing and scrunching products) years.

The wonderful FLAT IRON years.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0
\nI’ve finally tamed those waves with the help of Sedu and Chi!<\/em>
