{"id":316,"date":"2008-10-23T23:42:42","date_gmt":"2008-10-24T06:42:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/archives\/316"},"modified":"2008-10-27T21:41:49","modified_gmt":"2008-10-28T04:41:49","slug":"sisters-getaway-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/2008\/10\/sisters-getaway-day-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Sisters&#8217; Getaway &#8211; Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rbow.jpg\" alt=\"Rainbow over Port Gamble\" class=\"floatleft\" \/>During\u00c2\u00a0my August trip to the <em class=\"b\">Olympic Peninsula <\/em>with Brandon &amp; family I decided I was going to have to make another sojourn to see more sights as well as spend more time\u00c2\u00a0in others.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I invited Kristin to join me, and she was available this week &#8211; so we made some last minute plans and headed off on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>We only turned into <em class=\"b\">Port Gamble <\/em>because we were chasing a rainbow, but discovered an absolutely charming town.\u00c2\u00a0 It is a 120-acre National Historic Landmark complete with picturesque, turn-of-the-century buildings filled with antiques, breathtaking views, expansive grounds and charming New England style houses on maple and elm tree-lined streets.
