You may recall that last year I painted a wall in my bedroom<\/a> with metallic paints.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Since then, my bedroom has been “almost” complete.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 However, something was missing<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 The wall at the foot of my bed contained a boring bookshelf that accumulated books, photo albums and miscellaneous crap…\u00c2\u00a0 not very bedroom-like.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

So I began a quest for a piece of furniture.\u00c2\u00a0 Something that would complete the room, and give me a place to put candles and my sand garden. I didn’t really need a dresser, but wanted something dresser like.\u00c2\u00a0 I found JUST what I wanted several months ago at a local import store<\/a> – an antique Chinese chest.\u00c2\u00a0 Perfect size, perfect look – but way out of my budget.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

So I kept looking.\u00c2\u00a0 And looking.\u00c2\u00a0 And looking<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 Found a few things online that might<\/em> work, but most were far too expensive or the wrong size.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 And I wouldn’t dare buy them without visually inspecting them.<\/p>\n

Feeling inspired to do my part to stimulate the economy<\/em>, I went out on a couple of weeks ago and hit the local furniture stores to see what I could find.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Nada.\u00c2\u00a0 Zip.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"MySo I stopped back into Far Fetched Furniture<\/a> to see if they had imported anything new and more affordable.\u00c2\u00a0 And there it was<\/em>. My perfect Chinese cabinet sitting right next to the door.<\/p>\n

On sale. But still out of my budget<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

I wandered the store, but kept coming back to it.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The sales guy, desparate to make sale in this economy, knocked a couple hundred more off of the price – making it nearly 1\/2 off, and I caved.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

I introduce you to my 90 year old Chinese cabinet.\u00c2\u00a0 Isn’t it perfection?<\/em> I smile everytime I look at it.<\/p>\n
