Kennedy Rae of Sunshine\" class=\"floatleft\" \/>And now &#8211; the long awaited presentation of Ashley &amp; Kennedy Sunshine tour to Seattle.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"bi\">For those unfamiliar with the whole Rae of Sunshine thing:\u00c2\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em class=\"bi\">That has been my daughter&#8217;s nickname &#8211; Ashley Rae of Sunshine &#8211; since she was a little girl, because of her absolutely sunny personality.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Her daughter Kennedy bears the same middle name, and that same sunny streak.\u00c2\u00a0 So now you know.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I picked Ashley and Kennedy up from the airport early\u00c2\u00a0Thursday afternoon\u00c2\u00a0(10\/11) and had my first &#8220;aaaaaahhhh&#8221; moment as we were walking along the skybridge to my car.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Kennedy was pulling her little princess suitcase behind her, and out of the blue she turned to me and said, <em class=\"b\">&#8220;I love you, Grandma Alli&#8221;<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 And that set the tone for the rest of the wonderful mother-daugher-granddaughter bonding trip : )<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ashken_oct07_013sm.jpg\" alt=\"Ashley &amp; Kennedy at Pacific Science Center\" class=\"floatright\" \/>The traffic is the only drawback to living here, and I try to avoid making extra trips downtown if I can avoid them.\u00c2\u00a0 So while already out, we headed straight downtown to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pacsci.org\/\">Pacific Science Center<\/a> to look at giant bubble machines, dinasaurs and other cool stuff.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 That night we met up at Cosi for dinner with my brother Jeston, his lovely bride Eve, and cousin Emily.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Of course we topped it off with Smores.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/thezoo1.jpg\" alt=\"At the zoo\" class=\"floatleft\" \/><day><\/day><br \/>\n<strong>Day 2:\u00c2\u00a0 The zoo<\/strong>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Kennedy wanted to see the animals, so after lunch we headed off to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zoo.org\/\" title=\"Woodland Park Zoo\">the zoo<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 We hoped it might solidify her Halloween costume choice, since to this point every time we asked she wanted to be something different.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The weather was lovely and the zoo not very crowded.\u00c2\u00a0 I took lots of great photos, but you can&#8217;t see them.\u00c2\u00a0 The flash card has errors and the only photo I was able to salvage from the day is this lovely gorilla family portrait.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Costume choices?\u00c2\u00a0 Giraffe, dog, bunny, rabbit or fireman.<\/p>\n<p>You might be wondering how kitty handled visitors.\u00c2\u00a0 No?\u00c2\u00a0 Well I&#8217;ll tell you anyway.\u00c2\u00a0 He adored Ashley &#8211; took right to her and was often curled up in her arms.\u00c2\u00a0 Kennedy, on the otherhand, was a cause for great alarm.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <em>Run away!\u00c2\u00a0 Run away!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em class=\"b\">Day 3:\u00c2\u00a0 The Park.<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 First we browsed Country Village shopping center (very cute) that was having a harvest festival, had lunch a local cafe, where Kennedy entertained us with songs and overall cuteness.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I wish I could remember all the funny things she said &#8211; she really kept us in stitches.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/kenbar1.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy at the Kozy Corner Cafe\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then it was off to the park to feed the ducks, play on the swings, make friends on the playground and pose for more pictures.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 All in all, a lovely day.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 And aren&#8217;t my babies beautiful??<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/montage.jpg\" alt=\"Day at the park\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll have to stop for now, because today is my LEAST favorite day of the entire year &#8211;
