National Parks – America’s Best Idea<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

Did you see it?<\/p>\n

If not, I highly recommend catching it as it replays this week – and tuning in for future installments.<\/p>\n

The National Parks: America’s Best Idea is a six-episode series<\/em> filmed over the course of more than six years at some of nature’s most spectacular locales \u00e2\u20ac\u201c from Acadia to Yosemite, Yellowstone to the Grand Canyon, the Everglades of Florida to the Gates of the Arctic in Alaska.<\/p>\n

It is also a story of people: people from every conceivable background \u00e2\u20ac\u201c rich and poor; famous and unknown; soldiers and scientists; natives and newcomers; idealists, artists and entrepreneurs; people who were willing to devote themselves to saving some precious portion of the land they loved<\/em>, and in doing so reminded their fellow citizens of the full meaning of democracy.\"Bryce\"<\/p>\n

The scenery is spectacular and will make you want to pack up and visit every single national park in this beautiful country. And the history and stories behind the parks’ creation is inspirational.<\/p>\n
