{"id":80,"date":"2007-11-10T05:02:34","date_gmt":"2007-11-10T12:02:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/archives\/80"},"modified":"2007-11-10T20:24:49","modified_gmt":"2007-11-11T03:24:49","slug":"the-sunshine-tour-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/2007\/11\/the-sunshine-tour-part-2\/","title":{"rendered":"The Sunshine Tour &#8211; Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/kpump1.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy in the pumpkins\" class=\"floatleft\" \/><em class=\"b\">Day 4: Shopping!<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\nEven shopping offers photo opportunities.\u00c2\u00a0 While we were taking\u00c2\u00a0pictures of Kennedy in the pumpkins at Central Market, a Japanese family was admiring the pumpkins.\u00c2\u00a0 One of them just plopped right down next to Kennedy and had the others take her photo.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"125\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/kennedy_japaneselady.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy with the Japanese lady\" style=\"width: 125px\" title=\"Kennedy with the Japanese lady\" class=\"floatright\" \/><br \/>\nKennedy was only slightly freaked out by the whole thing.\u00c2\u00a0 I had to snap one because it was such a crack up.\u00c2\u00a0What do you imagine she would do with that picture?\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Post it on her blog, perhaps?\u00c2\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/dorothy2.jpg\" title=\"Kennedy of Oz\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/dorothy2.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy of Oz\" class=\"floatleft\" \/><\/a>We dropped by a kids consignment shop to see if there were any Halloween costumes that would catch Kennedy&#8217;s eye.\u00c2\u00a0 She tried on dog costumes, bunnies, a giraffe, and several others &#8211; but none were <em>perfect<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 As we were walking out the door, Ashley noticed a pair of glittery red shoes, just Kennedy&#8217;s size.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Kennedy tried them on and just beamed.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It was decided &#8211; she would be Dorothy.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"135\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/kettlecorn.jpg\" alt=\"Kettle Corn Makers\" style=\"width: 135px\" title=\"Kettle Corn Makers\" class=\"floatright\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We went back to Country Village where Ashley did some shopping, we watched some belly dancers performing, and sampled some great Kettle Corn.\u00c2\u00a0 Apparently to make authentic kettle corn, you must appear in costume.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/rubyslippers.jpg\" alt=\"Kennedy in her ruby slippers\" class=\"floatleft\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Oh, and Kennedy modeled her new ruby slippers.<\/p>\n<p>Then we went to Molbaks, of course.\u00c2\u00a0 Just try coming for a visit WITHOUT stopping at Molbaks.
