{"id":863,"date":"2009-10-15T23:31:37","date_gmt":"2009-10-16T06:31:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/?p=863"},"modified":"2009-10-15T23:31:37","modified_gmt":"2009-10-16T06:31:37","slug":"a-room-with-a-view","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/a-room-with-a-view\/","title":{"rendered":"A Room With a View"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is the view outside <em class=\"b\">my current home<\/em> &#8211; a hotel room at Extended Stay Deluxe.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/view-hotel.jpg\" alt=\"View from my hotel room\" title=\"View from my hotel room\" width=\"525\" height=\"268\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-864\" srcset=\"https:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/view-hotel.jpg 525w, https:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/view-hotel-300x153.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The reason I&#8217;m living in a hotel room is because <em class=\"b\">my bathroom looks like this<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/silenceoftheclams.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/bathroom-1.jpg\" alt=\"My sad, torn up bathroom.\" title=\"My sad, torn up bathroom.\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" class=\"floatright\" \/>Since it&#8217;s my only bathroom, and both the toilet and sink are torn out, my insurance company has put me up in a hotel room since Sunday night.   <em class=\"b\">I&#8217;m not loving it. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Learned today they&#8217;ve located one leak, but have one more condo<em> (top floor) <\/em>to check and make sure there are no other sources.  I&#8217;ll be here <em class=\"b\">another week<\/em> at least&#8230;.   <\/p>\n<p>On the bright side, it will be great to have a mold and moisture free bathroom that smells fresh instead of mildewy.  And I&#8217;m taking this opportunity to have <em class=\"b\">tile and a new vanity<\/em> installed when they put it all back together.<\/p>\n<p>All I can say is thank <em class=\"b\">heaven for home owners insurance<\/em>!
