Recently several LDS women collaborated on a response to Relief Society President Beck’s recent “Mothers Who Know<\/a>” general conference talk in October 2007.\u00c2\u00a0 They entitled this documenent What Women Know<\/a><\/strong> and published it online today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the women is a friend of mine and sent the document to me for review – and to sign if I so chose.\u00c2\u00a0 What they came up with really resonated with me, and I was happy and honored to sign it.\u00c2\u00a0 A few of the items that stood out for me:
\n\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

  • I like that this statement affirms and includes all <\/em>women, not just mothers.<\/li>\n
  • I like that it specifically mentions nurturing fathers as well as mothers.<\/li>\n
  • I really like that it puts cleanliness into perspective – a luxury and personal choice when one has access to resources.<\/li>\n
  • The statement: “anyone who is regularly reminded that she is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153equally important<\/em>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is probably not.”<\/li>\n
