I’m really and truly almost finished with my final Costa Rica post. Just so many photos to go through (don’t worry, I won’t post them all).
But in the meantime, I have a question.
Who the hell are the Kardashians and why should I care???
I keep hearing and reading about “The Kardashians” and see them on tv advertisements.
Can someone please fill me on just who they are and why I (or anyone) should care? Why they are the recipients of so much attention?
And are there other “celebrities” or current public figures out there that have you as befuddled as the Kardashians have me?
I have no idea and seriously don’t care either!!
I have often wondered the same thing. I believe there is a show about them…which includes lots of drama I’m sure. But that’s about it.
I don’t pay much attention to celebrities. My own life has enough drama.
I too wonder why they’re so popular. I know Kris the mom is married to Bruce Jenner and Khloe is married to bball player Lamar Odem (Lakers). But seriously, why is there MULTIPLE shows about them?
Never heard of them. Not surprising though since I watch next to no T.V. 🙂 Oh well, probably not missing out on anything too spectacular I guess.
I think they are related to O J Simpson’s attorney. Or something. I don’t really know; I would ask someone to tell me but I totally don’t care. I care about costa rica though. 🙂
Yes Kris their father was on the OJ defense team and when they divorced she married Bruce Jenner and had two more girls? I have no idea why they are famous.
Alli, Alli, Alli; I was shocked to find on your blog the disrespecting of the trifecta of tarts, the holy trinity of tramps, the stout, steamy, strudel of strumpets; The Kardashions.
Some social scientists disagree, but most hold that the Kardashion’s represent, collectively, all that which is desirable and attainable by today’s power women role model.
In Kourteny we find the protector, and mentor. As the oldest of the three, she is the rock and staying influence. Anyone who finds a woman who is as Kourteny, a source of strength, courage, insight, and compassion – it would be wise of them to note these virtues.
In Khloe, we see exemplified the virtues of Motherhood, and companionship. Her priorities bring her focus to home and bed. Some would argue that Khloe’s strengths’ are the epitome of feminine attainment. Epitome may be too strong, but it comes close.
That brings us to Kim. She made the phenomenon a reality, for she is phenomenally successful. She reminds us that while self actualization is important, it is only a part of the total package. That, though love and sex is critical, it is common and tainted when alone. That success and happiness is measured in terms of the total package. It can be found in the combining of many areas of achievement and talent.
Happy is the women who emulates and celebrates the Kardashion’s model.
Triple happy is the man who finds and cherishes the woman in his life who is Kardashionified.
After Cary’s post I now know more about them than I ever thought I would. Still don’t care.

Thanks all for filling me in. Yeah, Paul, I’m afraid that now that I know who they are, I care even less…
But I did find her…
I’m reminded of the Gabors from my childhoood…Zsa Zsa, Eva, and their mother… no talent, clueless, rich Hollywood wannabees…what a waste of time.
