Thank you so much for posting this. I knew if anyone would put this madness into perspective it would be our Rachel. I’m so so tired of those idiots Beck and Limbaugh, they have absolutely nothing of worth to say…
Good job Allison. Great post. Obama receiving this award is evidence that finally our respectability on a world stage has improved dramatically. Whether it was offered as encouragement or acknowledgment its a proud day.
I adore Maddow. Watch her show every night… She does her homework and she is always courteous and polite to others. And she has a wonderful way of putting things into perspective.
More than any other journalist, she has shown how all the supposed anger this August over healthcare reform was largely fake – fake grassroots outrage.
I liked the discussion she had with Barbara Boxer right after this segment.
You know, Limbaugh from the start said he hoped Obama would fail. And of course, he obviously then would work to denigrate him as much as possible. When he says Obama is an international joke, I wonder what planet he is on. Obama is more popular internationally than any US president ever was.
I do not understand the hatred these people have for a classy, well spoken president who has no desire but to better all of our situation. But then, most of those people watch Fox news, so that explains most of it…

Some people are just too stubborn to see beyond their fears and prejudices. AND they’ll believe what they want. Not what the facts tell them.
