Kennedy’s compliments

I just returned…  well recently returned from a brief trip to Salt Lake to visit my kids/grandbabies….  photos forthcoming.  However – before I forget, I just had to share some cute Kennedy-isms.   She is so entertaining.

On a visit to Aunt Kathy’s house, we were chatting while Kennedy (age 3) played on the floor near Kathy’s feet.   After awhile, Kennedy looked up at her and said, very earnestly, “Your feet smell like roses!” ….   to which a bemused Kathy showered her with hugs and kisses.

Kenney RaeI slept at Kathy’s that night – and the next day when Kennedy & Ashley came to pick me up, Kathy walked out in her nightgown and blue/flowered housecoat.    Kennedy poused only a moment and then said, “I like your pretty dress….”     and was rewarded with more hugs and kisses.

Later that day we had lunch with my mom.  During a break in our conversation, Kennedy looked up at my mom and said, I like your eyebrows.”   LOL. . .
That one had to be my favorite.

  1. Kennedy is such a personality ! I loved my lunch date with the three of you. Just wish we could do it weekly ..at least :o) I’m amazed at how observant Kennedy is and how pure she is in her comments.

  2. It was fun to have lunch with all of us…
Kennedy makes some very entertaining statements. The other day, apparently in the habit of giving odd compliments, she looked at me and said “Mommy, I like your boobies.” How sweet.
Yesterday I was being goofy with her and she told me that I was “insane.” I realize that we also say that to her… lol

  3. Very funny, she is such a beautiful little girl! I can’t wait to have some grandbabies of my own.

Can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures.

  4. Kennedy and I had the opportunity to share some time together last Saturday evening. She was fascinated by my Nativity set so I allowed her to play with it. Thinking I was not paying attention to her she rearranged the group. She placed one of the kneeling Kings next to Jesus, then grouped everyone else closely around them, then she declared,”Okay it’s time for dinner eat!”, then she quickly grabbed the kneeling King and in a very high pitched voice cried,”oh no I am not your dinner don’t eat me!”. Then she proceeded to shove the King’s face into the faces of the other figures crying, “Don’t eat me, don’t eat me!” I couldn’t help myself and laughed out loud. That was a mistake for sweet little Kenndey gave me the worst “skunk eye”. She is so cute, and
keeps me entertained for hours. Of course I’m not exactly mature myself!
I could go on but I should save more tales for later, since I don’t get to see her often.

  5. lol- that is SO funny. This is my one of my favorite ages- she says so many entertaining things…
    Thanks, Kathy 🙂

  6. Kennedy should get together with Heather’s boy Dillon, who’s just a little younger than she is, not quite three. While visiting him last week we took a ride on a hay wagon out there at Wheeler Farm. As I sat next to him, I asked Dillon what we were going to see. He looked up at me, sort of rolled his eyes and with that big smile of his said, “silly grandpa, Christmas lights!” Indeed, what else could we have seen… guess I should have known…

  7. Sounds like Ashley and Heather should get together with their kids!

Don’t you wish you could just have a hidden video camera following him around all the time?
