I arrived on Kauai later Monday afternoon and Kristin was waiting for me at the airport (she arrived Saturday).

It’s been a bit blustery – windy and kind of cool so we haven’t spent a lot of time outside taking pictures yet… (we’re here for another week, so no rush….)
But we have been gorging ourselves on chocolate covered macadamia nuts. And socializing with our “friends” – the pairs of crested cardinals that we delight in every time they arrive on our lanai. We also enjoyed watching a family of little doves in Hanalei. The babies were so little and cute following mom and dad around.
Michelle, the next photo is for you. I call it “Bologna and Cheese with Waterfall”

Wish you were here enjoying one with us.
Lol, that Bologna and Cheese with waterfall photo is amazing! I wish I was there too. I must admit, your B&C sandwich looks perfect.
Can’t wait to see all the piccys.
The sandwich looks fantastic. Lol. And oh how I wish I were in Kauai with you. Such a perfect place. Looking forward to more pictures!
LOL from me too. I love the irony of flying all that way and getting a beautiful room with an amazing view to have fun comfort of bologna and cheese. Love the photo! Can’t wait to hear and see more of the trip.
Absolutely gorgeous! Soak it up and enjoy!
Hawaii, how lovely that must be. I hope I can make it there one day. I’m sure you are having a wonderful time, and how nice to have such a great friend/sister to share it with!
The photo is awesome. The juxtaposition between the elephant skined american chese and the water fall it flawless. The bologna is a whole other story.
Looks like you’re having a delightful time!
We also composed a lovely haiku to go along with the portrait, but Allison didn’t post it.
I”m happy to see you’re having a good time. I hope you get the R 7 R you both need. We’re at the cabin, drove here in a white out blizzard. but the pay off today is a white wonderland with maggies, blue-jays, juncos and Steller jays at my bird feeder. Must have been 50 little juncos this morning.
Love you have a wonderful time in the warm sunny Hawaii.
You guys can pretty much call yourselves natives! Geez!
Let’s see the haiku, c’mon.
