I rarely see a movie at the theater anymore, preferring the convenience, comfort and affordability of Netflix.  However, I do make exceptions.    Saw Angels & Demons with Kathleen while in Salt Lake (really enjoyed it) and took in Star Trek yesterday.  Loved it.   Some films just have to be seen on the big screen.   And one of the benefits of a movie at the theater is upcoming previews.

Here were the movies  I previewed at the theatre last night – along with my desire, or lack thereof, to see them.

Public EnemiesPublic Enemies.    I love Johnny Depp – and Christian Bale ain’t too shabby. This looks like it will be pretty good, though violent. It’s a “wait for Netflix” movie.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.     Definite theatre movie.  Can’t wait.

Transformers:  Revenge of the Fallen  –  meh.  No interest in seeing this at the theater or at home.

A dumb movieYear One.    LOL…  This looks like it will be a really dumb movie – typical Jack Black fare (and Mike Cera), but the previews made me laugh despite myself.   I think I’ll wait for netflix.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Ummm.  Not sure I’ll want to see this…

Are you looking forward to any of these movies?   Seen any previews that made you really want to see the movie – or really want to stay away from it??

I will most definitely be seeing the new Harry Potter in theater, along with New Moon. I think we will also go see the Transformers sequal, we loved the first one.

I haven’t seen the previews for Public Enemy, but Johnny Depp & Christian Bale…you can’t go wrong with that duo!

No G.I. Joe for me thanks!

I, of course, am SO excited to see Year One. It is totally my type of dumb humor. Harry Potter? Definitely. And even though it is like forever away, I can’t wait to see the next Twilight. 🙂

I am conflicted about G.I. Joe because I LOVE Channing Tatum (the lead) but the show will probably be another action/adventure/whatever/tribute to testoterone. I’ll probably see it because of Channing.

We are seeing the midnight viewing of HP! Join us!!

Mixed about Year One. think I’ll skip it.

We hardly ever go out to movies, except the kid ones, so most of these (except HP) will be seen via Netflix. Glad I saw Star Trek on the big screen though.

I don’t like going to movies, because I’m claustrophobic (I need a way out) and they always keep it so cold. It’s a good thing, because the closest real movie theater is a half hour away, as is everthing. There is a theater about 2 or 3 miles from here that used to be a airplane hanger, or something. It scares me just looking at the outside. Anyway, I’m way excited about star trek. Can’t wait till it comes out on video. Can’t believe I just came out of the trekie closet. I’ll watch it in the warmth of our living room. Maybe we’ll microwave a little Reddenbacher.

I will see Transformers only for the reason I have a small crush on Shia. I will def. be seeing the Johnny Dep one. “Year One” trailer also made me laugh. I just read where Julia Roberts will be the lead in “Eat Pray Love” I can see her in that role. I’m looking forward to the Ryan Reynolds movie coming out next weekend, I also have a crush on him and it looks predictable but funny. I just watched “Junebug” and “Frozen River” I recommend both, especially “Frozen River” it was very touching and you care about the characters early…both were Indies and both actresses were nominated. It was Amy Adams break out role. Anyway my $.02

VERY excited for HP and Year One. Year One looks HILarious.

GI Joe will be stupid, but I will see it to support my boyfriend Channing.
